Descansa en Paz

Program Note

Descansa en Paz (Rest in peace) was written as a tribute to Mr. Francisco Brossa one of the founders of the National Choir of El Salvador (formerly Sociedad Coral Salvadoreña).

Mr. Brossa was always very friendly and musically talented. He was full of stories about many famous soloists and conductors who visited El Salvador at the time when music was in its apogee in the Country. As I worked for the National Choir of El Salvador as Assistant Conductor and Pianist I had the privilege of sharing not just stage but multiple stories about the history of the most representative cultural groups in El Salvador. 

I wrote the text and music for this little tribute in music to not just a colleague but a dear friend.
