Three little pieces
Piano solo
Program Note
Three little pieces were born as a project to do a cycle of small pieces for solo piano with a more contemporary harmonic language.
I Fleeting Storm (0’43”)
In this piece I wanted to represent a fleeting storm with the use of the rhythm and chores appearing in the middle of the phrases.
II Nocturne (1’50”)
A slow movement following the idea of the Nocturne Form. This piece is the most challenging in terms of Harmony.
III Playing time (1’30”)
A playful tune that develops from a simple rhythmic and melodic pattern, the harmony changes in leaps of augmented fourths.
The work is dedicated to my dear brother Herbert Guerra.
